How to reach us
at Sommarøy
Sommarøy is at the end of a 52 km scenic drive from Tromsø. It takes about 50 mins by car and the road passes through mountain regions, fjords and pittoresque fishing villages. You can also reach us from Senja year round by the ferry from Botnhamn.
By buss Tromsø–Sommarøy
There bus is somewhat limited from Tromsø, with departures from Tromsø three times a day on weekdays, with the last bus leaving city centre at 16.15 pm. There are unfortunately no buses on Saturdays, and only one departure on Sundays.
From Sommarøy–Tromsø there are four departures on weekdays, with the last bus leaving Sommarøy at 13:50 PM.
Search from Prostneset Havneterminal (Tromsø) to Sommarøy (Tromsø). The bus stop at Sommarøy is right by our activity centre.
By ferry Senja–Sommarøy
Our activity centre is only a 10 min drive from the ferry docks at Brensholmen. The ferry itself takes about 40mins from Senja.
The ferry has just begun running year round. Search from Botnhamn to Brensholmen.
By car to Sommarøy
With your own car you will have greater opportunities to explore the region on your own. There are several major rental companies in Tromsø City centre. Please mind the environment and consider an electric car. There are charging availabilities at Sommarøy Arctic Hotel.
